Dr Roshini D’Souza (previously Malasingam) obtained her MBChB from the University of Dundee, Scotland in 2004. She commenced her medical training at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesborough,UK prior to moving to Australia.
Dr D’Souza completed her basic physician training and the majority of her advanced training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.This provided her with extensive exposure in general nephrology and renal transplantation.
In addition, Dr D’Souza also completed a year of nephrology advanced training and a year of fellowship at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital gaining vast experience in vasculitis as well as management of chronic kidney disease in a community based multidisciplinary setting.
Her special interests are chronic kidney disease (CKD), renal anaemia, bone mineral complications of CKD, acute kidney injury in the ICU setting and renal replacement therapy.
Dr D’Souza is dedicated to providing a renal consulting service both in the inpatient and outpatient setting. She strives to achieve the best outcomes for her patients with a focus on evidence based medicine.
She currently has practices at 2 different locations including St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside and North Lakes Specialist Medical Centre.
She is happy to receive referrals directly from VMO’s. GP’s and ED as well as provide advice over the phone.
